Free Class For Adults To Learn Construction Industry

25 Jan, 2019

Jayne Burke

In partnership with the Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation (ICRF) and the Lynay Center, we will be offering in Martinsville a ‘Build Yourself’ course for adults who are interested in entering the construction industry. The 80-hour class is designed for adults over 18 who are currently underemployed or unemployed. The course which runs $2000 is FREE due to the generosity of Home Bank in Martinsville.

At the end of the class, all students who pass will be invited to a job hiring fair with area construction companies. For the first class in Indianapolis, all students were hired with starting wages of $16-$24 an hour.

Classes will start in February. Anyone over 18 years of age who can pass a drug test is encouraged to apply. Criminal backgrounds will not necessarily disqualify someone for the program.

If you are interested, please apply. The applications can be found at http://indianaconstructionfoundation.org/apply/

Please share this information with any family and friends you believe might be interested. This is a wonderful opportunity for employing people in our community and with a job with a great future.

Sincerely,

Dr. Michele Moore
