Our Classrooms

Recently, Brooklyn STEM Academy strengthened our commitment to educational excellence with a $2 million enhancement project adding: two large STEM labs, a makerspace/robotics lab, a multimedia room, and additional classrooms.  We have thirteen general education and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten, music, art, physical education, library, and special education classrooms.  Students benefit from designated spaces for Title 1, Speech, school counselor, and Adult and Child Services. Brooklyn has a full-time Clinic Aide.
Along with our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), teachers use various avenues to communicate with parents. Every student receives a communications folder as one method to share important information. While all teachers can be reached by phone or email, many choose to use programs such as Dojo, Seesaw, and remind. Teachers will convey what types of communication works best at the beginning of the school year. Please use Family Access in Skyward for up-to-date information on students’ grades, food service balance, and student information.
Technology is a part of everyday life for many people. Brooklyn STEM Academy integrates technology into our curriculum, iPads and Chromebooks are used almost daily. Commonly used programs such as Lexia, Redbird, NWEA, Study Island, Seesaw, and Google Classroom are used as added tools to individualize and assess growth.
